Some time back Techgravy blog shared the method how to Naver LINE chat history and restore for Android and iPhone. From that time i always thinking and find solution that easiest way of Naver LINE chat history backup and restore procedure for LINE Android app, finally i got the solution.
LINE Chat History Backup And Restore
Your android phone already rooted.
First force close LINE app for Android to stop it’s running at background. Then use Titanium backup app back up LINE app.
If your Android phone got reset, root or others reasons, need to restore back all data for LINE app.
Download LINE app and don’t run it, use Titanium backup Android app restore LINE app, remember choose app+data option.
Download SQLite Editor app and installed. This android app is to replace SQLite Manager Firefox add-on, so you no need download database file and open it on PC.
Select LINE app inside SQLite Editor > naver_line file.
Choose setting > delete all, this will delete all record in this table, click yes to continue.
Now login LINE with your register email address or Facebook account, you may facing the LINE app force close suddenly, never mind continue to login again.
Then you will notice all your chat history, stickers and photos remain in your LINE app.

Hey Techgravy, i was trying to transport my line history to my new phone but I only found your article after doing my own procedures which didn’t work. What i did was i used Line’s own back up feature to (individual chat, settings, then backup chat) which created a zip file and then the app asked me to email it somewhere which i emailed myself. So i now have the zip file but don’t know what to do with it.
After installing Line on my new phone, there is no option of import chat history under settings the import chat button will only appear if i made another backup of the chat history i have on my new phone which is not helpful because it has nothing to do with the chat history on my old phone. Please help!

May be you can do what I did. 1st, you need download your backup chat history which you sent it via email. It’s easy to download it from PC/laptop.
2nd. Open your chat setting (in your new devices) and create/export backup. Line will tell you where the backup file will be located (its usually with the file named LINE_Backup in your phone file)
3rd. Connect your Device with the laptop/PC
4th. Replace the new backup file (which consist nothing/ ur new chats) with the old backup file )which consist ur old chats)
5th. Unplug the device and refresh it. Youll see ur old chats again :D

If i apply a hard reset to my phone, will i delete all the information of line? How can i delete all and be sure that it can’t be retrieved?
Yes will delete it.
