How To Set up And Sync iCloud For Windows

All iPhone, iPad and Mac users felt more convenient as they transfer or sync files like photo, music or mail after iCloud launched by Apple, they no need turn on Mac PC and iTunes application to have files synchronization between all iOS devices.However Windows users may feel inconvenient and still need to plug in the cable connect to iTunes, then can transfer all the files from the iOS devices.

In fact Apple already developed 「iCloud control panel」 application to have iCloud for Windows, help all Windows users making their Windows PCs able synchronize files to iCloud ability. The iCloud service contain in this iCloud for Windows version is less compare with Mac version but is quite good enough to those Windows users just for files synchronization purpose.


iCloud For Windows By iCloud Control Panel

The iCloud Control Panel is required to use Photo Stream, Mail, Contacts, Calendars (Microsoft Outlook 2007 or later required) and Bookmarks (Safari 5.1.1 or Internet Explorer 8 or later required).

1.First you need to set up iCloud for iOS devices, then download 「iCloud control panel」 setup.exe and install on Windows PCs.

2.Go To Start menu > control panel > Network and internet > iCloud.

3.Enter Apple ID to create iCloud account, then iCloud login.

4.Then choose iCloud service you like to enable.

5.Please make sure to enable automatic downloads for music, apps, and books. Open iTunes > Edit > Preferences > Store and select Music, Apps, and Books, then click OK.

Final Thoughts

The icloud service in 「iCloud control panel」 Windows version is less compare with Mac version but already good enough.For me i just care for photo steam on iPad only, now i can sync and transfer photos from iPad to my PC directly without using Dropbox or iTunes.
