Search bar is located in the upper right corner of Firefox while Chrome has this thing integrated in the address bar itself. The function is however the same, it offers you a convenient way to translate text to your prefer languages by using Google translate application integrated to search bar, without any browser add-on and extension. Let me show you how to do that.
Add Google Translate To Web Browser Search Bar
Open https://translate.google.com/ in Firefox, source language select “Detect Language” and choose “English” as language to be translated.
Click Firefox search bar down arrow next to the current search engine icon and select “Add Google Translate”, it will add into Firefox manage search engine list.
Just enter any text into search bar and select “Add Google Translate” as search engine option, it’s automatically detects the language and translate to your prefer language by press “Enter” key button.
Open http://translate.google.com/ in chrome, setting is same as Firefox. Select “Detect Language” as source language and choose “English” as language to be translated. Then right click at address bar and click on “Edit search engine”.
Find “Google Translate” in search engine list and change keyword to “en” or other keyword that you preferred.
Type “en” keyword in Chrome address bar and press space bar, search Google translate suggestion appeared.
Enter text that to be translated and press “Enter” key button, the translate result appeared.
