Recently Google released encrypted Google web search with https://www.google.com to protect your search item and results from being intercepted by a third party.You can use a specified keyword to enable SSL Google web search in Firefox without typing https://www.google.com or using any Firefox add-on make more convenient.

1.Open https://www.google.com in a new Firefox tab or window.Right click anywhere in the Google search bar and select ‘Add a keyword for this search’.Google ssl search

2.’Add bookmarks’ pop up window appeared.Assign a ‘Name’ and ‘keyword’ for it and click ‘Save’ ( Please keep keyword as short as possible for remember ).

3.Now in the Firefox address bar enter in ‘ssl’ ( keyword ) with a searching item,it will using encrypted Google web search every single time.
